Modern Slavery Statement

01Our business and supply chain

We are a nine-person appliance retailer and installer in Bedfordshire. Our supply chain is short: UK distributors and manufacturer agents for appliances and spare parts, a UK pallet carrier, a licensed WEEE recycler, and a small number of self-employed specialists and remote contractors.

02Risk assessment

We consider the highest residual risk to sit upstream in appliance manufacturing, which we do not control, and in labour used by subcontractors. Our own installation work is carried out by directly engaged engineers on PAYE contracts.

03What we do about it

We buy through authorised UK distributors who publish their own modern slavery statements, and we ask for a copy before opening an account with a new supplier.

Every subcontractor and remote contractor confirms in writing that they are free to work, are paid at or above the applicable local legal minimum, are not paying a recruitment fee to work for us, and hold their own identity documents. We pay contractors directly and never through a third-party agent that deducts unexplained fees.

04Training and reporting

The director and both trade desk staff have read the Home Office guidance for small businesses. Anyone can report a concern to hello@voltia.uk and it will be investigated by the director. No concerns have been raised to date.

05Approval

This statement was approved by the director of Voltia Ltd on 18 September 2026 and is reviewed annually.
